Csepreghi Twins Shatter SODI SR5 Lap Record – Twice in One Race!

Doubling down on the lap record

Daytona Milton Keynes witnessed history as the SODI SR5 lap record was not just broken but obliterated—twice, in the same race—by none other than the Csepreghi twins.

Our 1,360-metre circuit, originally designed by F1 legend James Hunt, is built to challenge even the most skilled racers.  Jacob & Charlie Csepreghi have been honing their race craft on this circuit since they were eight years old – Jacob Csepreghi won the Cadet InKart Championship in 2022, Charlie Csepreghi followed by winning Junior InKart in early 2023. Now, both compete in SuperChamps SODI Lightweights, with Jacob reigning as champion.

On 1st March 2025, Jacob Csepreghi laid down an astonishing lap of 1:11.681, eclipsing the previous record of 1:12.338, set by Brandon Barker in January 2025.

Moments later, Charlie Csepreghi shaved it down even further to 1:11.602, securing the new all-time fastest lap.

With their relentless pace and determination, it’s clear the Csepreghi twins are destined for even greater heights in the racing world.
