We’re over the moon to officially announce 5x DMAX Championship title holder and Team Brit Star Bobby Trundley as the newest member of our team.
Bobby joins us as Group Kart Tester and Fleet Presentation Manager, taking time between his professional racing duties with Team Brit to ensure our fleets parity and consistency is up to the highest standard possible. This role will see him travel nationally across all Daytona venues, imparting his expertise honed through years of kart and car racing at circuits around the world. This is a huge investment and we feel incredibly lucky to welcome Bobby back to Daytona in a professional capacity after so many years of racing with us.
Over the years Bobby has been a fixture of Daytona paddocks, competing in all star teams in long form events such as the Daytona 24-hours with YouTuber Cameron Das. More recently he drove in the Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex, Racing to Save Lives charity endurance with out very own CEO Charles Graham. We’ve even see him pop in for the odd SuperChamps round when he’s in the area. However, our story with him begins sixteen years ago when he first began karting with us. What began at a friends birthday party quickly moved to Daytona’s Race School, snowballing to championship driving where he picked up his five DMAX championship titles. Bobby’s career took off after we introduced him to Damon Hill at a charity event, a meeting which led him to Team BRIT, the UK’s only disabled racing team. Fast forward to today, and Bobby now races in the Britcar Championship, driving alongside Aaron Morgan in their McLaren 570s GT4.
All the more reason why we feel so pleased to see Bobby return to where it all began, taking time out of a busy racing schedule to help keep our karts running to the standard he has come to expect at the professional level. It’s a full circle moment for us and we’re sure you’ll notice a little extra power under your feet next time you step into a Daytona kart.
