Daytona Tamworth Upgrades to Newer DMAX Kart Fleet: A Leap Forward in Performance and Parity
Daytona Motorsport is proud to announce a significant upgrade to its DMAX fleet at Daytona Tamworth. A newer generation of our high-performance 125cc 2-stroke DMAX karts – previously run and loved at Daytona Sandown Park – has been introduced to the Midlands circuit, delivering immediate improvements in performance, parity, and driver experience.
This transition marks a major enhancement to the Tamworth fleet, providing drivers with karts that feature advanced engineering powered by later generation Rotax motors, more refined handling characteristics, and improved consistency and reliability across the grid.
Racing Pedigree, Italian Engineering
The fleet is built on Birel ART’s industry-leading Italian N35 chassis – designed and manufactured in Monza, a global hub for motorsport innovation. Drivers will benefit from enhanced responsiveness behind the wheel, particularly noticeable through corners and technical sections of the circuit.
Paired with the renowned Kelgate GTK braking system, including vented discs for heat resistance and consistent pedal feel, these karts are tuned for competitive racing without compromising reliability.
Greater Parity, Greater Confidence
This fleet upgrade also brings a much higher level of parity between karts – reducing setup variation and allowing driver skill to shine through in every race. Whether you’re a returning regular or a first-time DMAX racer, you’ll enjoy a more balanced and predictable racing experience from the first lap to the last.
Now Available for Drivers Aged 16+
The new fleet is available to race with immediate effect at Daytona Tamworth. DMAX sessions remain open to members of the public aged 16+, offering a true taste of high-performance 2-stroke racing without the need to own your own kart.
