WHAT IS AN ASSESSMENT AT DAYTONA?
RACE IN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
National Karting Association guidelines state that all drivers aged 8-13 must complete an assessment before taking part in competitive events, including our InKart and Junior Jamie Chadwick Series Championships.
RACE IN ADULT KARTS EARLY
Experienced drivers aged 12–13 may race in a 4-stroke SODI or N35-ST kart, subject to passing an assessment, similarly assessed drivers aged 14–15 are eligible to race DMAX karts. Upon completion, drivers can race in adult Open Races, Endurance Races or Championships.
RACE SCHOOL, GROUP OR PRIVATE
Juniors can achieve assessment through Race School or in a group/private assessment, and aspirational SODI and DMAX drivers can book into a private/ group assessment.

The most common assessment at Daytona for Cadets & Juniors (ages 8-13) is our Race School programme, which is hosted during school holidays.

My sons first time was doing the race school at the start of the year, he’s just completed his first season of InKart championship. Daytona Tamworth is a great track the staff are amazing at what they do and my sons confidence has improved so much. The races are well managed and the place is well organised!

Jnr did the 1 day cadet race school and had a great day. Well organised and ran with knowledgable and enthusiastic staff, Jnr managed to improve by 27s a lap from the start to end of the day. Good track and good facilities.

We were here for the Cadet Race school and it was a fantastic day – with plenty of time on track, some decent karts, backed up by very capable and enthusiastic instructors, marshals and front of house staff.
Have already booked my youngest for the same event when he’s old enough and looking forward to the competition in the championships soon.

My 14-year-old son spent the day at Daytona at the Junior Race School. He loved every minute of it. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the whole day was well organised. They had 6 karting sessions interspersed with tuition and lunch. The last two races were on the larger Grand Prix track. There were good spots around some of the track to watch from, so was able to take lots of photos. I liked that there was coffee, snacks and picnic tables for parents to sit and watch undercover too.

My son took part in the Race School 26th August. I have to say it was a pleasure to have met such wonderful staff, the ladies on the front desk were all really helpful and made sure everyone was looked after and Alex was superb too. I have to mention a young gentleman called Ollie. He was one of the tutors on the track. He is a credit to your company. Well mannered, happy to help, advise and generally a nice man. Please thank him and the whole team from us, we had a great day!
