After a successful inaugural event in 2015, Daytona Sandown Park is delighted to host the 2nd Sue Ryder Endurance Charity Challenge. The brain-child of Andrew Pirie, this annual event is a must attend with even more prizes, celebrity appearances and fun to be had. Andrew’s mother, Sheila, sadly passed away 11 years ago from Cancer and this event has become an important way to remember her and fundraise for Sue Ryder who provide patients like Sheila with expert neurological and hospice care.
For just £300 per team (only £75 per person), you can secure your place at the start line ready to help us raise funds for this superb cause, lots of prizes to be won from sponsors TW Steel and Overboard and an awesome day of fun on the track – if you don’t believe us, then click this link to see how superb last year was, you won’t want to miss out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLy9BA2MhQw&feature=youtu.be
Daytona Motorsport will provide everything needed for you to race in the event, including all safety equipment, a thorough safety briefing and a Sodi RT8 390cc kart for each team. Entry includes lunch for all drivers and there will be soft drinks available throughout the event.
Whilst the event will feature some pro drivers with International Racing Driver Johnny Mowlem already confirmed on the grid, the outcome of the race may be decided by clever use of the teams’ Charity Jokers rather than drivers’ outright speed around the 900 metre circuit. Spectators are also welcome to come along and support your team. There will be a charity raffle and opportunities to meet some of the people from Sue Ryder and learn more about the wonderful work they do.
