Daytona Manchester InKart is GO

Daytona Motorsport is delighted to confirm the launch of the 2016 Autumn Junior InKart Series!

Open to Cadet Drivers aged 8 to 11* and Junior Drivers aged 12 to 15*, each championship round comprises F1-Style qualifying and a 30 lap sprint race on the full GP Circuit at Daytona Manchester.

Qualifying

Q1: All drivers in class complete five minutes qualifying with the slowest two drivers disqualified at the end of Q1.
Q2: The remaining drivers compete over a further five minutes – with the slowest two drivers knocked out at the end of Q2.
Q3: The remaining drivers battle it out for Pole Position.

The Race

30 laps of the GP Circuit – non-stop from start lights to flag.

Championship points are scored for drivers’ finishing positions in the main feature race each month.

Trophies are awarded to podium place finishers at the end of each round – with overall championship winners celebrated at the end of the season.

Round 4           Sunday December 18th

Driver sign on at each round is at 8:30am.

MEMBERSHIP
Daytona Junior Club Membership is required to enter the 2016 InKart Championship at Daytona Manchester. Junior Club Members can also take part in Junior Advanced Practice sessions on non-race weekends at a discounted price and they enjoy a 10% discount on Cadet/Junior Open Sprint races – annual membership costs just £30 inc VAT.

*Cadet and Junior Classes are decided by age and height. Drivers aged 8-11 and between 125 and 145cm tall are Classed as Cadets. Drivers aged 12-15 and 145cm or taller are Juniors. We reserve the right to move drivers into the more suitable class if their age and/or height make it prudent to do so.
