London and District Housing returned to the top step of the Daytona Milton Keynes Podium with a win in the 20th annual running of the Property Prokart Challenge, in association with EG.
Having won the event on three previous occasions, London and District were given a three lap handicap at the start of the race but overcame that to win the race by just under 60 seconds from Crossacre Properties, who beat Team EG by just two seconds for the second step on the podium.
Eighteen teams raced over six hours on the International Circuit at Daytona Milton Keynes – and competed in the Daytona F1 Pit Stop Challenge as Daytona, London & District, Cowell Group and EG celebrated 20 years of the PPK!
Crossacre Properties were given a two lap handicap at the start of the race (due to their pace in practice) and Cowell Group were given a one lap handicap due to their previous successes in the event – Cowell Group ending up in 4th place overall after six hours.
The event was held this year in aid of Myeloma UK – with teams making donations to the charity and raising funds for them via the event raffle.
London and District made it the double by winning the F1 Pit Stop Challenge as well and thus are facing a doubly strict handicap for the 21st running of the event in 2018!
