At Daytona Motorsport, we are constantly striving to provide the ultimate racing experience for our passionate community. As the UK's leading outdoor kart racing group since 1990, we take pride in delivering unique experiences - and none are more unique than racing in our 2-stroke DMAX. We're thrilled to announce the latest upgrade to our fleet of elite-performance DMAX karts, making them even more exhilarating to drive than ever before.

Our DMAX karts were previously fitted with Yokohama tyres, which were universally loved by our customers. However, in recent months there have been a global supply shortage of Yokohamas, so we had to temporarily fit Heidenaus onto our DMAX fleet, which are more synonymous with 4-stroke karts rather than 2-stroke.

Determined to elevate our DMAX to new heights, our Engineering department have remained committed to sourcing alternatives. After extensive testing and evaluation,  we're delighted to say we've sourced a tyre that we think is even better than the original Yokohama...

Introducing... the Dunlop!

We have fitted our Sandown Park DMAX fleet with Dunlop tyres, which better compliment the needs of 2-stroke racing karts.

One of the standout features of the new Dunlop tyres is their enhanced grip around corners. Racers can now enjoy a smoother drive with improved traction that provides the confidence to push the limits. The advanced tyre compound allows for superior handling and agility. The Dunlop tyres deliver exceptional performance, enabling racers to maintain higher speeds through corners with ease.

Our community of racers has already experienced significant improvements in lap times, with some reporting gains of up to a full second. This enhancement in speed is not only attributed to the superior grip but also to the balanced handling characteristics of the Dunlop tyres. The enhanced stability and predictability of the tyres provide a more controlled and enjoyable driving experience, allowing drivers to focus on perfecting their racing lines and achieving their best times.

The initial feedback from our Daytona Sandown Park community has been overwhelmingly positive, and we're excited to roll out these improvements across our other tracks. In the coming weeks, the DMAX karts at Daytona Tamworth and Milton Keynes will also be equipped with Dunlop tyres, ensuring that all our guests can experience the unmatched performance enhancements that these tyres bring.
