We're proud to be recognised for providing children aged 6+ with the facilities to participate in motorsports for over 30 years.
On Friday 17th May, the Daytona Motorsport team collected a Surrey Award presented by comedian Bobby Davro and Radio Jackie presenter Emilie-Kate Owen for Best Family Entertainment.
Our Daytona Sandown Park venue, rated #1 for things to do in Esher on TripAdvisor, has hosted more than 100,000 families since we acquired the venue in 2000.
In 2023, across our three venues, we hosted over 250 children at our unique Race School, a one-day activity camp in the school holidays. Race School is for children aged 8-15 and is designed to improve young racers go-karting ability, lap-times, steering, racing line, speed, acceleration and overtaking. With tuition from an expert racer, Daytona’s Race School is the perfect go-kart education for aspiring Formula One drivers, or those looking to have fun racing go karts at half term, Easter holidays, Summer holidays or Christmas holidays. It also allows young people to earn a go-karting qualification to race in our InKart Championships.
Our highly-esteemed Junior InKart championships are a platform multiple now-professional racing drivers have used to start their competitive racing career, including Sam Bird, Bobby Trundley, Duncan Tappy and Ollie Milroy. InKart provides a competitive racing league for children aged 8+ to hone their skills over multiple races in various formats.
We host multiple children's birthday parties every weekend, offering exclusive track hire, food and private area hire. Our unique birthday parties have no age limit, allowing older siblings and parents to race on the track at the same time.
Last year, we launched our 'Battle of the Ages' series, a unique 90-minute team endurance race aimed at parent-child teams of 2-4. This unique event allows adults and children (aged 14+) to race on track together, and we've hosted three sell-out races at Daytona Sandown Park at the time of writing.
