Collection of Personal Details

Daytona Motorsport Management Ltd is the data controller of the information collected at or by all Daytona venues and via our online channels . Our Data Protection Officer dealing with data protection issues is Derek Lee, Daytona Motorsport Management Ltd, More Lane, Esher KT10 8AN.

Data Collection

1) Drivers Taking Part in Events: By racing at our circuits, you agree to your name appearing on all representations of laptimes and leaderboards. We also collect the data of all drivers to ensure that we have a definitive record of who has read and completed our risk awareness declaration prior to being allowed to drive on the circuits or take part in our events. We do not use this data for any purpose other than maintaining a record of the drivers taking part in events – unless you specifically opt in to receiving sales and marketing messages from us.

2) Customers Enquiring about or booking events: We also collect information from our customers via our Sales Office and Receptions when you enquire about events or book activities with us. We will use the information you give us to correspond with you about your enquiry or booking. We do not use this data for any purpose other than maintaining a record of the drivers taking part in events – unless you specifically opt in to receiving sales and marketing messages from us.

3) Online Booking: We require contact details on our order form and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date) on the payment processing form. This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill your order. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with you.

4) Logging Access to our Web Site

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track anonymous users’ movements and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to individuals.

Storage and Review of Data

All data collected above is kept securely in accordance with GDPR and is reviewed periodically (and at least annually) to ensure that we still need any data for the purposes outlined above. Any data no longer required will be deleted.

Use of Data

Data on participants in our activities is retained by us to provide us and our insurers an accurate record of the participation – such as drivers details, date and time and nature of the activity.

Those customers who have consented to receiving promotional messages will always be given the opportunity to opt out or unsubscribe from the receipt of promotional messages. This opportunity will always be clearly available on all such communications.

Review of Data

Personal data collected on you will be evaluated periodically (not less than yearly) to determine whether we should continue to hold it.

Safe Storage of Data

We may export your data outside the European Union, but only to ensure that we have a secure backup of said data. We will only export your data outside the |European Union as long as we can be sure that your data is being held securely in a territory where there is mandatory protection of your data rights to a similar level that applies in the UK and European Union.

Before providing any third parties with access to any data, we always ensure that the provision of such data is necessary and appropriate and always require that such third parties confirm their compliance with GDPR and that their use of and storage of data complies with GDPR and with our own Privacy Policy.

ALCOHOL POLICY

Don’t drink and drive

Daytona operates a strict alcohol and drug policy. If we have any doubt as to any driver’s ability to drive, or believe that any driver may be under the influence of either drink or drugs, we will not permit that person to drive.

Please note that we will not refund or waive any fees paid or owing in the event that we disqualify a driver for the above reasons.

At our venues with licensed bars, we operate a strict coloured wrist band policy to identify who can drive and who can drink. Please help us to keep the circuits and our customers safe.

AGE POLICY

Daytona operates strict age limits.

At Bambino events drivers must be 6-7 years old and at least 107cms tall – with a minimum inside leg of 48 cm.

At Junior events drivers must be 8-15 years old and at least 125 cms tall.

At 4-stroke events drivers must be 14 or over and at least 145cms tall.

Drivers who wish to race in DMAX and DMAX-GT karts should be 16 or over, at least 145cms tall and have experience of driving powerful karts. We will consider allowing drivers aged 14 or 15 to race in our DMAX and DMAX-GT karts as long as the driver is able to prove that they are adequately experienced at racing powerful karts and as long as approval is sought and given prior to booking the event.

Proof of age will be required if there is any doubt. All drivers aged 15 or under must be signed in by their parent or another adult. If you wish to bring someone else’s child to Daytona, you must act “in loco parentis” and make any and all decisions as to the suitability of the activity for the child. We will require you to countersign our registration form for that child on arrival. If in any doubt, please call your local Daytona circuit.

DAYTONA FLEXIBLE BOOKING POLICY

Daytona Flexible Booking is additional extra protection that can be added onto selected events, currently available over the phone only.

Daytona Flexible Booking can only be used once per booking.

Daytona Flexible booking can only be purchased at time of booking.

Must be redeemed in excess of 5 full working days before the booking time.

The booking can be transferred to another date within 180 days of original date. The new booking date must be agreed with at least 10 days notice and is subject to availability.

Unused Daytona Flexible Booking purchases will not be refunded.

Daytona Flexible Booking does not entitle the purchaser to a refund.

Daytona Flexible Booking does not enable the purchaser to reduce the value of the event, through reduction of driver numbers or any other factor.
